| We
got our rally flags at the opening banquet on Sunday night. We
were not in the "hopeless" class. We were placed in the "married
couples riding together and maybe about to get divorced" class. |
Voni at the hotel in Missoula -
ready and eager to start. |
The
Black Rock Desert near Gerlach, Nevada was Voni's favorite bonus.
A few riders got stuck in the mud at the edge of the playa. With
luck, we didn't. |

The Wheels of Time museum in Maggie Valley,
North Carolina was where we went right after riding through Deals Gap
at sunrise -

changed oil at the Maine checkpoint. Harry Pendexter brought the
oil and drain pan for us and then made it all magically disappear.. |
